Banquet Halls to Hawaii: What to Wear this Wedding Season

Wedding season is a hectic period that many would like to avoid when possible. However, it is a rite of passage that each adult experiences as friends, colleagues, and family members tie the knot. Therefore, it is important to look good to show your appreciation on their very special day. Weddings vary in atmosphere and venue, so many people find it tricky to dress for the right occasion because there is nothing worse than being underdressed and being overdressed is not fun either. As a result, we have compiled a few basic rules and tips to ensure that you know what to wear.

Formal weddings are usually held at banquet halls, fancy hotels, and beautiful homes. These usually occur indoors, but some may take advantage of the nice weather and hold it in the garden. You would usually need to wear a tuxedo or a nicely fitted suit for these venues and that would involve the jacket, the dress shirt, and the pants. Remember to rent the tuxedo at least a month before the occasion because there are other people with weddings to attend and you may need to make alterations for your tuxedo. You can find some nice tuxedos at Ike Behar, Hugo Boss, Jack Victor, and Perry Ellis.

Beach and casual weddings are also quite common and these tend to be casual affairs. You may be asked to attend a wedding ceremony in the Bahamas or Hawaii. Of course, you can still don a tuxedo here, but this is your chance if you prefer something more liberating. You can wear a nice dress shirt with a vest, along with a nice pair of dress pants. Light colours are welcome such as the baby blue Lipson shirt or a crisp cream-coloured one. You will still look pulled together, but not overdone at the same time.
